Michael may be our man of letters, but it appears that Alex may be our little mathematician. Recently, Lindsay was working with the boys when Alex discovered, by rummaging through her stuff, a game. She claims it causes 12 and 13 year old frustrations, so she let Alex mess with thinking he would get tired and quit. Not only did he not get frustrated, he was able to complete it. She said he was able to tackle it faster than she could, and called him, laughingly, "a mathematical genius." It is not just this incident that leads us to speculate about his abilities in Math. He seems to pick up concepts, such as negative numbers, easily. That does not mean he gets every problem right, but he seems to get the ideas.
